Listening to Open House is like getting a free two-hour massage every month for how relaxing it is, so I recommend marking a day on your calendar every month and I guarantee that's gonna be two hours you look forward to - to turn it on, turn it up, and prepare for all your cares to melt away.

And that’s not even fair, considering most of the “competition” have at minimum a 20+ year head start. Artists from all grooves and micro genres have been featured on this show, but I’ve never once felt as though the guests or Randy were too avante guarde or alienating; as wide as the locales and styles of Randy’s travels — and thus, his guests as well — there is always the right amount of the familiar to gently glue our more extreme sides (at least for a few hours per installment of Open House).
