Consulting with a Sherborn Energy Coach

Impact
Cost

The Sherborn Energy Coach Program is a volunteer, neighbor-to-neighbor initiative to help Sherborn’s homeowners cut their homes’ carbon footprint, utility bills, and pollution (which accounts for approximately 42% of all town-wide emissions).

As unbiased volunteer advisors, knowledgeable coaches help homeowners to select and install the right systems for their particular home and budget. They assist homeowners with identifying opportunities, comparing contractor quotes, and identifying available subsidies, tax breaks and financing options.

If you would like to be connected with an Energy Coach, please contact our volunteer Head Coach, David Green, at davidlcgreen@gmail.com

  1. Sign up for a MassSave No-Cost Home Energy Assessment for getting a baseline on your home’s insulation, air-sealing needs, and performance of your mechanical systems.
  2. Get in touch with an Energy Coach by contacting davidlcgreen@gmail.com
  3. Be prepared to furnish basic information about your home (square footage, number of windows, heating, electricity cost, etc.) so that the energy coach can establish an energy model of your home.
  4. Discuss the immediate and future upgrades that you envision for your home.
  5. The energy coach will help you to pick the best investments from an array of options that align with your individual environmental and economic goals (insulating to a higher standard, upgrading to air-source heat pumps, solar PV, triple glazed windows, etc.).
