What is Flight Crew?
Flight Crew was created in January of 2022 and aims to provide Georgia Southern students with unique opportunities revolving around soccer in Statesboro. The organization’s members attend and bring energy to Statesboro's local professional soccer team, South Georgia Tormenta FC, who just won the USL League One Championship! The organization also hosts a variety of soccer-related events and competes in most intramurals offered at Georgia Southern.
Flight Crew & Tormenta FC
Tormenta FC competes in the professional USL League One, the pre-professional USL League Two and the pre-professional USL W League, under the United Soccer League (USL), and has also established a thriving academy system throughout South Georgia and the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
Flight Crew acts as a supporters' group for the club and brings unmatched energy to Tormenta games!
Most recently Flight Crew attended and showed out for the USL League One Final which was won by Tormenta FC and broadcasted on ESPN 2!

FIFA Tournament
On February 26 Flight Crew organized and held a FIFA 22 Tournament that was held at the Russell Union Movie Theater. Participants got to play their games on the big screen and were provided food courtesy of Surcheros! Freshman and Flight Crew member, Aidan Butler, was crowned champion after an exciting final game!
Flight Crew Classic Footgolf Tournament
On August 24th Flight Crew held Statesboro's first-ever Footgolf Tournament! 27 participants were provided with a fun-filled Footgolf afternoon. Once play concluded the participants were provided with food and drink and two partners were crowned Co-Champions finishing with a score of 2 under par! Every player left the tournament with a prize courtesy of our awesome sponsors!
