    I absolutely adored this book. Heather and Channing have been characters I wanted to know more about for years. I am beyond thrilled that this book gave me everything I desired. It gave me insight into things I wanted to know. I have mixed feelings over a few things but ugh, I loved getting all the details of their lives. This is a book I know I will treasure for years. Sometimes you just always feel like you need just a bit more and this book totally gave that to me. I am sure it will be one I read again in the future.

    Just the right story for Heather and Channing. I’ve loved Heather from the beginning since the fallen crest series and this was her all the way in this book. There were some times that broke my heart but in the end it turned out perfect somno worries. One of my favorites through the book was the flash backs to when Heather and Channing were younger. Channing was so funny and they both were so cute.

    They met in the first grade. Best friends by the third grade. Held hands in the fifth, kissed in the seventh. She had loved him her entire life. He had loved her from the beginning. Love was never their problem. Sex was never their problem. She's caught between worlds. She isn't his main priority. Crew first. Sister next. Town after that, then maybe her. She should have walked away years ago. He should have let her go. But there has never been a couple meant to be together more than Heather and Channing.

    Each book brings Tijan closer to the author I love. There were many parts of this book that were perfect. Many that were close. And some that missed the mark.

    The perfect: How she continued to pop up at such random moments. Having experienced this myself, that's as realistic as it gets. The craziness of Stalker. From her introduction to her inclusion, she cracked me up with her insanity. Mannies. I loved getting this behind the scenes, in-depth look into Heather's place and getting to know all of her employees/family. The last several chapters leading up to a HEA. Dreams come true and then some. The bonus scene with the FC crew. Sam and Mason will always be my favorites. Every other character pales next to them.

    The close: The flashbacks. I really enjoyed young Heather and Channing. It seemed as if some of the things weren't age-appropriate, however. In 5th grade, they are trick-or-treating (Yes), but then by 7th grade Channing has tattoos?? Did he sleep around when she turned to FC? One minute it seemed as if she was his one and only, but that's never been the image we've been given from the FC books. Did he turn his back on his love for Heather and sleep around? This is crucial because the only way he ever really showed his love for her was through sex, not actions, so if he slept around, it's even worse than a regular man-whore. Moose, Lincoln, Chad, and Congo. I love Channing's friends, if only they hadn't been tarnished by being crew.

    The missed: I'm not a fan of Roussou and its crews so that complicates these stories. It's not the seediness or the violence, it's just not entertaining to me. Too much emphasis on crew. Channing and Heather had a toxic relationship for too many years. Love isn't always best. If you can only have sex but never share feelings, that's not love, that's lust. They couldn't share their lives beyond a certain point and yet they wouldn't walk away and allow the other to truly live. Toxic. Channing never put her first, Heather was an enabler. It bothered me that beautiful, strong, caring Heather Jax that I know as Sam's best friend didn't demand more for herself. Channing was an addiction and needed to be cut off like her cigarettes. This was never more clear than after their loss. It hurt me that she was put through so much pain by her best friend/lover over the years. His actions from seventh grade on cheapen those titles. The man that all of Roussou admired was selfish and carelessly cruel with Heather's heart.

    Overall, I am happy with Heather and Channing's story. It was much like I expected. I do not look forward to a return to Roussou and Bren's story but I am excited about the sneak peek from her secret project book. Regardless, I can't walk away from Tijan's books any more than Heather could walk away from Channing!

    First off I’d like to thank Tijan, I mean wow what an amazing Author. She always does such a great job with her stories and how she makes them sometimes dark and twisted yet heartfelt and emotional.

    I have read a lot of romance books with hero’s and heroine’s that I both loved and hated. Tijan always gives me characters that I absolutely fall in love with. But I can say 100% without a doubt that Heather is my absolute favorite heroine of all time. She wasn’t whiney, clingy or super emotional. She was strong and fierce, loving and loyal! Her strength and will to survive was so inspiring and her love for Channing was so fierce. I loved that she didn’t constantly need to be saved.

    Channing was a leader, fighter and lover. I absolutely loved his loyalty to Heather. Despite there on again off again relationship he was always loyal to her knowing she was the only woman he could ever love. They had such an amazing bond that started as kids and became so much more as they got older.

    I could not put this book down I spent the entire day reading it and in the end I wanted more! Such a fantastic book! Tijan did it again!

    She has done it again. Tijan has written another epic book, in my opinion. I literally could not put this down. I laughed, I held my breathe, I cried (ok..almost) and I sighed.
    Heather's story..so not what I imagined. one has an inkling when you read Fallen crest books in the series...but honestly ? you don't realize what she went through until you read her story. Changing. The boy she falls in love with? another one you don't realize with a story like that. Tijan worked her magic with this story. To me, pure gold.

    Heather and Channing's story is all I'd have ever imagined it could be. And more.
    Set between their childhood and growing up together, to current times, we see the feelings develop and how they were always drawn to one another without understanding why. Then as adults, the emotions; the love, the pleasure, the sex and all the bad things that happen in their world with the crews and violence and yes, it was totally gripping to read about!

    Vorweg ist wichtig: Wer dieses Buch lesen will, sollte vorher auf jeden Fall die Fallen Crest Serie gelesen haben. Ich finde, das ist ein Muss, um dieses Buch zu verstehen. Verkehrt ist es auch nicht, wenn man Crew 1 vorher gelesen hat. Wenn man diese Reihenfolge einhält, versteht, warum dieses Buch so klasse ist. Ich hab es kaum erwartet, die Geschichte von Heather und Channing gelesen zu haben. Ich fand es sehr gut, dass sie weiter führt, was die anderen Bücher angefangen haben. Ich kann das Buch nur empfehlen. Es ist großartig und man möchte fast mehr über Mousse und Lincoln erfahren.
