On your marks ... get set ... GOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Our team of eight energetic "athletes" are in training to get ready to walk, jog and run the Manchester 10K on September 26 2021, raising money for Together Dementia Support. The team is made up of staff members, volunteers, and three members who live (and walk!) with Dementia.
Our team of members living with Dementia is made up of:
- Maria Walsh
- Karin R
- Peter R
- David N
Trying to keep up with them will be:
- Jo Brizland-Cullen
- Anne de Rouffignac
- Sam Simpson
- Tim Simpson
- David Simpson
Maria will alternate walking and travelling in style in her funky, decorated wheelchair, with support from Anne, David Simpson and Rachel Speirs.
427,000 people in England are living with Dementia, and an estimated 30,000 of these are in the Manchester area alone. With so many cases right on our doorstep, it is certain that almost anyone can think of someone who is either living with Dementia or cares for someone who is. Together Dementia Support enables people living with Dementia in Manchester and their families to live positively, socially and creatively with Dementia.
The money you donate will have a real-world impact, directly supporting our groups, 1:1 home visits and our social Zoom and phone call projects. As a small charity, we can guarantee that every penny donated goes straight into our services and is only used to deliver life-changing support for people living with Dementia and their familes.
Show your support for the amazing runners of Team TDS and donate whatever you can today!
