The GOOD and GOD: Who Do We Worship?
The call to teach and the opportunity to mould the lives of the young is a noble and meaningful one. Indeed, many of us are drawn to the teaching profession because of the good work that we know we can partake in. Yet, unless we have a strong anchor in the God who deserves our fullest worship and in whom lies all goodness, we often find ourselves becoming slaves to and idolizing the good work that we do. We have allowed the good to become God. Is it any wonder that what was once meaningful and noble, that brought hope and joy becomes dreadful, wearisome and empty? Should we be surprised when we find ourselves increasingly jaded at the way things turn out? Join us, as we explore and discover how God can truly make the good, good.
