Brian Gray
“Using technology to inquire, to create, to share, to research, to learn, is not and should not be notable anymore. It should simply be a matter of course” – Chris Lehman
Brian Gray is an innovator, problem solver, coach, and life-long student of his profession. Professionally, he is dedicated to assisting students and players in achieving growth through new technology initiatives. In the first part of his career, He took part in the design and execution of innovative educational programs such as the Freshman Learning Community and Flex Enrichment at Sanborn Regional High School. He also was a major part of the school winning the Magna Award and also a Innovative school in 2018.
He began his career as a social studies teacher working with veteran teachers using a No Zero Policy. He was instrumental in the redesign of the freshman experience at Sanborn Regional High School to promote social growth and academic progress. Using data and curriculum, himself and a group of educators built the ground work for what later was adopted as a school-wide grading policy. This lead him to pursue a Master's Degree in Curriculum Design and earn his NH Certificate as a Curriculum Director.
Currently, He is also at the lead of many programs that are giving students the opportunity to learn valuable life skills by using technology in the classroom. He also founded multiple business technology courses. First he started the successful Modern Media Video Production class that combines journalism and different types of media to connect the school with their community. He also revamped the digital publishing class to focus on Online Marketing and Graphic design teaching students how to create social media, logos, branding and event media. This class has been used multiple times at the school to design projects. He also pioneered the digital signage around the school using nothing more than apple TVs and iTunes but now uses Digital Signage Screen Cloud. His latest class, Sanborn Start Up teaches students how to be entrepreneurs and start their own business while providing real world experience working and maintaining the school store the Spot at Sanborn.
A frequent speaker on the subjects of technology and education and assessments, Brian is always seeking out new ways to teach using technology, finding ways to improve his teaching by attending conferences and workshops and is always willing to try anything that is in the best interest of helping his students learn. through his technology classes, Brian is teaching his students to be problem solvers and has been able to help students identify problems, acquire knowledge to solve them, apply them in different situations and creat new solutions to problems found along the way. Brian is a passionate professional who believes that his jobs deserve nothing but his best effort.
TESTIMONIALS
I really liked Mr. Gray's model for how lessons went with his 4 step plan for learning. I also really like how he was very interested in what everyone in the class likes to do and he likes to learn about his student."
"I like how there are many ways I can use what I learned from this course in the real world, and how we do class discussions where we give each other tips on what we do and don't like about our products. "

"I just wanted to say, thank you. You taught me some history in my days at school that genuinely resonated with me. I study it for fun on my own now these days. That history has been that of Palestine and Israel. Unfortunately I wasn't as dedicated to learning at that young age as I am now. However, your lesson on Israeli/Palestine has never left my memory. Holding up that arrow head and explaining how Fremont, Kingston, and Newton were this land and so on. I appreciate and thank you. I hope you are doing well and that teaching has continued to be good to you. Thanks for being an awesome teacher and a great guy. "

"Thank you so much! And like I said before your class definitely was one of the best classes I have had in my life. Many classes I lose the information within a month and nothing sticks with me, but yours was fantastic. Because of your class I know so much about the world and all of the whys and how's of the past. When I did work in your class it felt like it actually had a purpose and was helping me. You are beyond a great teacher, and never forget that! I wish there were more teachers like you! If there is anything I can ever help you with in the future just let me know and I will be there! You are going to be a FANTASTIC father, your kid is very lucky and I can already tell you they are going to grow up to do great things because they have you."
Thanks again for being such a highlight of my high school career."

"Mr. Gray has spent the last seven years working for our school as a Freshman Social Studies teacher. In addition, he has served as a girl's JV basketball coach, completing an impressive 19-0 undefeated season with his team this past year. Mr. Gray works tirelessly for our school in many capacities. In the classroom his students describe him as a teacher who develops innovative and dynamic lessons and units. His enthusiasm and passion for Sanborn comes out in everything he does for this school. Thank you for being a driving force behind our school's successes and improvements, Mr. Gray!"

"I heard that you capped off your season undefeated. I cannot tell you how happy and proud I am to hear that. You have always been the most passionate coach I've had the pleasure of knowing, and you deserve this! It's only the beginning! Congrats to you and your girls."
Former Alumni Player
"Congratulations on another undefeated season! You've been such an amazing and supportive coach for all your players over the past years and you definitely deserve this second undefeated season in a row!"
Former Alumni Player
"I just wanted to take this moment to tell you what a pleasure it was having your JV girls squad attend our tournament this past weekend. You have a “Class Act” as your JV coach and his emphasis on sportsmanship carries down throughout the entire team. Brian manages to combine a strong desire to win with emotional control and a positive approach to coaching. It was a pleasure meeting him and I am very impressed with the talented squad that represented Sanborn. They remained respectful and showed great sportsmanship at all times on and off the court. LOOKING FORWARD TO HAVING YOU BACK NEXT YEAR TO DEFEND THEIR TITLE !!!!"
