DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and her Office of "Planning" have suggested hundreds of amendments to DC's central planning document and maps called the DC Comprehensive Plan. Despite ongoing massive displacement of Black residents from DC and the substantial racial wealth gap between Blacks and whites in the city, none of the Mayor's proposed changes to the Plan address these critically adverse socio-economic inequities. In fact, the Mayor's changes to the Plan will exacerbate gentrification on DC's Black families and culture.
