An Evening At The Palindrome With Jolie Holland And Special Guests: Abakis and Solvents
In the inaugural concert since the Palindrome's recent renovation, Sky House Events proudly presents "An Evening at the Palindrome with Jolie Holland, Featuring Special Guests: Abakis and Solvents." Come sip Eaglemount Wine & Cider's award-winning wines and hard ciders while enjoying the world-renowned talents of folk legend Jolie Holland.
Appearing on NPR's First Listen, "Jolie Holland's new album, Wine Dark Sea has been receiving some of the highest praise of her career with scribes from both sides of the Atlantic loving the album's raw delivery and timeless songcraft." (Epitaph Records) With her "loose and organic" production (No Depression), Jolie's music has evolved from iconic folk to "the most uninhibited and visceral album of her career," (Uncut). ICON Magazine says, "Holland is in the same league as Waits, Rickie Lee Jones, Randy Newman, and Kevin Coyne, and almost beyond category."
Jolie has collaborated with local event producer Oceanna Van Lelyveld, Sky House Events, and the Palindrome, now in partnership with Eaglemount Wine & Cider, to bring you an intimate evening of music that is most often reserved for sold out concert halls and festivals around the world. She is joined by local bands Abakis (Aba Kiser) and the prolific Port Townsend band Solvents who will be opening the show at 7 pm. Enjoy a very special evening of world-renowned music in one of Port Townsend's historic community spaces.
