Waiver of liability

You agree when you sign up for this group or any of the events that you have read and understand the below.

If you join us for any event, please understand that you are responsible for your own preparedness and well-being and will hold no one else liable in case of injury or mishap. You agree not to hold the Organizer, Assistant Organizers, or any other members responsible for any injuries, mishaps, or any other situation that may happen at a planned event. You are responsible to research the event, know the area, and bring the proper gear.

Adventure women travel & activities does not provide liability insurance for the protection of individuals who may participate in any of the events planned by the Organizer or Assistant Organizers. You are responsible for your own safety and any insurance you may require.

This release extends and applies to, and also covers and includes, all unknown, unforeseen, unanticipated and unsuspected injuries, damages, loss and liability.

Your attendance on an event signifies that you have read and accept the terms of this liability waiver. By signing up for this group or event you understand that you are attending all events AT YOUR OWN RISK

Payment Policy

By RSVPing to an event you are expected to pay upfront and in full by the dates given.

Deposits - Deposits are due by the date given, missed dates will mean you are removed from the event and your space is given to the next in line. Deposits are non-refundable.

Full Payments - Full payments are due by the date given, If this date is missed you will lose your space and any deposit paid. Only fully paid spaces can be sold to another member of the group. The selling of a space can be advertised through the comment section of the event. The Party selling the space must email erika.adventurewomen@gmail.com and must CC the person who is taking the space on the email. The New attendee can either pay straight to the group and a refund will then be issued to the member OR they can arrange payment privately. The New attendee must be a member of this group and by paying are accepting the terms of this group. Any fees incurred will be deducted from any refund.

Late Arrivals - Please make sure you arrive on time to the event. If you are late please contact the host. We will do our best to meet-up with you still but if you are late the group will not wait for you. If you are late you may miss out on some or all of the event. No refunds will be given due to lateness.

This is a female only group. Please ensure you have a clear photo of yourself as your profile picture. Males will be removed upon joining. If a Male turns up to an event he will be asked to leave and forfeit any payments made.

Weather

Most events will still run in the rain. As many of the activities are book with 3rd party providers, the 3rd party activity provider will have there own weather policy. Events may be cancelled or postponed due to bad weather. Refunds will only be issued in accordance to the Ts&Cs of the third party we are booking through.

Membership

You are welcome to join us for up to 2 events before becoming a full member. After which you automatically become a full member of the club. There is no annual cost for membership instead a nominal fee is added to each event to cover the cost of running the club. This includes the cost of meet-up fees, public liability insurance, equipment and organisers training. Fees will be reviewed annually and may change at anytime. Fees are non refundable no.

As a member you must agree to all terms and conditions here in.

Code of conduct

All members of the club must behave respectful and in accordance with any health and safety and safety briefings given at all times.

Any inappropriate, discriminatory or threatening behaviour is not tolerated. If a member acts in an unacceptable manner they will be immediately removed from the group and asked to leave. They will forfeit any payments made.

All members must act responsibly and follow instructions from any guides or organisers. They must follow all health and safety guidelines at all times. Failure to do so will result in the members not being allowed to take part or continue with the activity. They will forfeit any payments made.

Q: Who can join the events?

A: Every women is welcome as long as you are up for an adventure, come join us.

Q: Am I too old/ what is the age of the members?

A: I get asked a lot about the age of the people in the group, but it really it doesn’t matter

Most members are probably 35-55 (at a guess… we really don’t ask) All members must be at least 18 years old.

Q: I don’t have any experience, can I still join.

A: most of our activities are suitable for beginners and description will let you know what experience is needed. Our walks will be graded Easy - Challenging

Walk grades meanings:

Easy - Suitable for everyone, under 3 hours / less than 12km and no steep hills

Medium - Suitable for most, longer walks 3-6 hours/ 12 - 20 km, some steep hills

Hard - Experience needed, Longer hikes with hills, 6+ hours / over 20km.

Challenging - Experience needed. Tricky terrain, Steep inclines, over 6 hours

Q: The events are full, can I join still?

A: We keep our group numbers fairly small and events can fill up quickly, so, we recommend you book on early to avoid missing out. If an event is already full, please add a comment or use the relevant link to be added to the waitlist.

Q: I would love to volunteer, how do I get involved?

A: If your interested in helping out, please let us know, we always welcome extra help. Volunteers can help assist lead walks or Paddleboarding session.
