Build Institute is proud and excited to officially add Detroit SOUP to our programming! Detroit SOUP’s mission is to promote community-based development through crowdfunding, creativity, collaboration, democracy, trust and fun.
We are bringing the Build Bazaar back to SOUP! Please fill out the application below.
ABOUT BUILD BAZAAR:
Build Bazaar is a rotating pop-up marketplace celebrating emerging entrepreneurs from our program. From artisanal candles and soap, to fresh baked goods and handmade wares, every event will feature an exciting and diverse range of local vendors. Shop the bazaar and support the small business economy in Detroit!
ABOUT SOUP:
At each SOUP dinner there are four presentations on projects ranging from art, urban agriculture, social justice, social entrepreneurs, education, technology and more. SOUP is a potluck-style dinner, so please bring a dish to share. You will get 60 seconds to share about ANYTHING you are working on in the city if you do!
http://detroitsoup.com/YOUTH SOUP:
Youth SOUP is a great way to raise money for projects that benefit Detroit young people and a great way for youth to practice professionalism and public speaking. Youth SOUP and the Build Bazaar at Youth SOUP is for anyone age 14-24. There must be at least one team member that is in this age range.
#####
Please be advised that it is NOT possible to simultaneously vend at the SOUP Build Bazaar and present at SOUP as a funding candidate. There is a separate application process for presenting at SOUP for funding. Please visit
