About this event

Join a virtual creative writing group for those who have experienced interpersonal violence (intimate partner violence, sexual violence, stalking, trafficking). You don't need to see yourself as a writer-- all are welcome.

Each week, we'll come together on Zoom to write and read. Register for any dates you are available; each session will be different.

The workshop is free. Writing sessions are led by experienced facilitators Elena Anderson Eggert and Wendy Brown-Baez.

This is not professional mental health care, and we will not ask you to write about any trauma directly. It is a space for exploration, tapping into our creative minds, and connection.

We are committed to access and inclusion, and strive to ensure a workshop that is as accessible as possible for participants. Please indicate any accommodations or requests in your registration. For example, captioning, materials sent in advance...

The workshops will be on Zoom video conferences. Once you sign up, we will email you with connection information for the workshops. If you have any questions or technology concerns, email writingtowholeness@gmail.com or call‪ (612) 234-7015‬.

Everyone has a story. Your story matters. Come to this writing group ready to think creatively, and find strength among other survivors.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
