Deconstructing Trump Book ~ Trade Delegations ~ Carrion Flowers ~ Science Whiz Tackles Brine Spills

Monday, September 23, 2019 – Dr. Mardy Grothe is a lifelong quotation collector, and he’s joined us on Main Street to discuss some of his popular books about quotations. In his latest book, “Deconstructing Trump,” he draws upon quotations of the past to see how they apply today. ~~~ Rail cars, river barges and container ships move grain from the center of the United States to the rest of the world. As harvest approaches, Midwest farmers who grow corn and soybeans are meeting some potential buyers from abroad who’ve come to see the crops. Harvest Public Media’s Amy Mayer caught up with two delegations in Iowa.  ~~~ In this week’s Natural North Dakota, Chuck Lura discusses Carrion Flowers. ~~~ Freshman Evan Knoll is a science whiz at Park Christian school in Moorhead. He was recently named a semi finalist in the Broadcom Masters STEM competition – one of just three hundred students nationwide. He speaks with Ashley Thornberg about his project that could help address the problem of brine-contaminated soil.
