About the author

Anne L Harvey has published two family sagas, A Suitable Young Man and Bittersweet Flight and has enjoyed considerable sales success, garnering mostly four and five star reviews. Both novels are set the mill towns of Lancashire in the mid-1950s, when rock and roll first came to Britain and reflect the social attitudes of the new Elizabethan era. Her latest book, Such A Time As This, is set on the cusp of the 1960s and brings together all the characters in her first two novels as a conclusion to the trilogy.
She has also published a collection of short stories about everyday angels, Entertaining Angels.
She has a memoir-based blog Passionate About The Past at www.annelharvey.blogspot.co.uk, is on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Anne.Harvey.10 and on Twitter as @annelharvey1.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 December 2018(paperback edition) I bought this book because I knew I wouldn't have time to embark upon a full length novel as Christmas preparations become #1 priority for me. I started by 'dipping in' to the middle of the book to see where that took me. I immediately became immersed into a great collection of short stories and the card writing and cooking was abandoned. I think this book would be a great stocking filler for anyone who likes well-written, quirky stories with lots of heart. I've read the authors other books and am waiting for the third in the trilogy. PS - this book was be great read from a sunlounger with a glass of something cool by your side.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 September 2018If you need a lovely book to read which you can put down now and again (although I found the stories addictive!) This book of short stories could be for you. They are all different, yet contain the same theme, of kindness to others.
I loved it and can thoroughly recommend it for a joyous, intriguing read ....
