Microsoft account problem.

Initially, I had a Microsoft account, but I recently deleted that account and created a Local. As far as I can remember, this issue existed before I deleted the MS account.

Here's the error message:

"Microsoft account problem.

We need to fix your Microsoft account (most likely your password changed). Select here to fix it in shared experiences settings."

I've tried numerous things to fix this notification and I don't know what to do. As I said, I deleted the account, but MS apparently keeps it active for 30 days in case you change your mind. So maybe that's part of the problem, I don't know.

From reading other threads on this issue, I can tell you that I don't want to block universal notifications, or "toast notifications" or whatever the heck they're called; I just want this specific notification to disappear.

Later on I'll try the first suggestion in this thread: https://www.kapilarya.com/you-need-to-fix-your-microsoft-account-for-apps-notification-in-windows-10

Does anyone else have any other suggestions? I just want to get this done and not muck around for days trying to fix this stupid issue.

Appreciate the help - thanks.

    Hi GalactusThe Destroyer,

One of the possible reasons that this issue occurs is due to configuration on your device settings. For us to assist you better with this issue, we will need the following details:

    • What activity in your PC are you performing when you encountered this error?
    • Can you provide us a screenshot of the error that you’ve encountered? (Kindly click this link on how to include a screenshot in your post.)

We will wait for your response.

1.) I don't know what I was doing at the time I encountered this error, this was weeks ago.

2.) I've attached a screen shot of the account problem.

3.) I tried step #1 in the link you provided (using Microsoft Accounts troubleshooter) but I'm not sure if it fixed anything; it detects problems but doesn't give me a way to fix them. I've attached a screen shot.

4.) The other suggestion in the link you provided is to block toast notifications and I'm not going to do that.

5.) When I click the Microsoft account problem notification "to fix it in Shared experiences settings." It wants me to log into the MS account I no longer have. So that doesn't do anything.

Thank you for keeping us updated. Let me confirm if you click Apply repairs automatically in the troubleshooter? If no, kindly run the troubleshooter again and click Apply repairs automatically. If the issue persists even if you run the troubleshooter with Apply repairs automatically, kindly follow these steps and check if it will help you with the issue:

    1. Click Start, then select Settings.
    2. Click System.
    3. Select the Shared experiences link on the left-hand side. Here you will see a switch that lets you toggle the Share across devices feature to the On or Off position. If you do not think you will feel the need to share your experiences, you may if you wish, turn off this feature by toggling the switch to the Off position.

    Update us with the outcome.

Apply repairs was turned on by default under "advanced"

I've run MS Accounts 6+ times now and it alternates between:

"Can't connect to the sync service"

"There might be an internet connection problem or the service may not be available." "Please check your internet connection and try again."

    To:

    "Problems found"

(See the screen shot I previously posted which presents those two problems)

So it will keep bringing up these same two "problems" every second time I run the program.

I moved the laptop next to the modem/router to get the best wireless internet connection and I'm getting full bars so It's not a connectivity issue on my end by being too far away from a wireless signal.

Shared experiences was already turned off under Settings > System. I believe this MS Account problem is still persisting. Why is this such a difficult issue to deal with? Really starting to annoy me now.
