This form is intended to help create a list of members potentially interested in joining the PTA Board or serving in Chair Positions for the next school year. The nominating committee will create a list of nominees. This list will be used to elect members to each available PTA Board position during the PTA General Meeting on April 30, 2025. Those elected will then become members-elect of the PTA Board. They will receive training from outgoing board members. Board Positions

Please mark any positions you’re interested in. Detailed descriptions can be found on the CAPTA website and on our PTA Website.

We have an immediate need for the 2025-26 school year in the following positions: Historian, and Financial Secretary.

President – Leads the PTA, presides over meetings, and works with the board to set goals and oversee all PTA activities. Serves as the main contact for the school, represents the PTA at council and district meetings, and ensures compliance with PTA bylaws. Works with board members, committees, and school staff to support PTA programs and events. Authorized signer for PTA checks, contracts, and payments.

Executive Vice President – Works closely with the president to help run the PTA, serves as an authorized signer, performs the president’s duties when needed, and may oversee committees or tasks as assigned.

Vice President of Fundraising – Oversees all fundraising efforts, including Rock & Run, with the help of the Spirit Night and Sponsorship Chairs, and presents reports on proposed fundraising activities at board and association meetings.

Vice President of Membership/Member Engagement – Oversees membership efforts, promotes PTA membership, maintains member records, and provides updates at board and association meetings.

Vice President of Communications – Manages all PTA communications, sharing updates on events and programs through social media, the Gallardo Membership Toolkit, the outdoor marquee, and the FCUSD website. Sends Mrs. Graham’s weekly newsletters.

Treasurer – Manages PTA finances, keeps accurate records of income and expenses, presents financial reports at meetings, and ensures compliance with financial guidelines.

Financial Secretary – Assists the Treasurer by tracking incoming funds, preparing deposits, and maintaining financial records.

Secretary – Records and maintains meeting minutes, handles official PTA correspondence, and ensures records are organized and accessible.

Director of Events – Oversees the planning and execution of PTA events, supports event chairs, coordinates logistics, and ensures all programs meet PTA insurance requirements for allowable activities.

Director of Clubs – Oversees all PTA-sponsored clubs, reserves facilities, publicizes clubs, coordinates with leaders, manages online sign-ups, and presents updates at meetings.

Financial Reviewer – Reviews PTA financial records for accuracy, prepares written reports for board and association review, and ensures financial reports are properly filed according to PTA bylaws.

Historian – Maintains records of PTA activities and achievements, arranges photos/videos at events, ensures photo permissions, and supports the Yearbook Staff.

Parliamentarian – Advises on bylaws, procedures, and parliamentary rules, ensures meetings are conducted properly, and oversees the nominating committee.

Spirit Night Chair (New position) – Coordinates Spirit Nights with local businesses for fundraising.

Sponsorship Chair (New position) – Recruits sponsorship donations from local businesses.

Gators on the Green Chair – Organizes and runs the event.

Multicultural Night Chair – Organizes and runs the event.

Red Ribbon Week Chair -- Supports the Site-based PBIS Team in planning and implementing all activities for this week.

Trunk or Treat Chair – Organizes and runs the event.

Pizza & Poetry Chair – Organizes and runs the event.

Cookies & Cocoa Chair – Organizes and runs the event.

STEM Night – Organizes and runs the event.

Dance Showcase Chair – Organizes and runs the event.

Talent Show Chair – Organizes and runs the event.

Reflections Chair – Collects sign-ups and artwork for the contest.

Book Fair Chair -- Coordinates logistics with outside vendor, creates schedule for event and secures volunteers to support the event.

Staff Appreciation Chair – Organizes and runs the event.

Fence Chair – Updates fence cups seasonally to display messages or decorations.

Garden Chair -- Oversees the school garden with support from the assigned teachers.

Gator Gear Chair – Works with a local vendor on Gator Gear.

Box Tops Chair – Promotes and coordinates the Box Tops fundraiser.

Flyer Chair – Creates flyers for school events.

Family Engagement Chair -- Plans and organizes family engagement outreach, programs and activities for the school year including a new family mentoring program.
