RESCHEDULED: What We Leave Behind: legacy and creating a future of value (Hybrid)

Monday, February 12, 2024 3 Adar I 5784

7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Apologies! But this event has been re-scheduled as it was unwittingly scheduled against the superbowl.

Join philosopher Bradford Cokelet  (KU) and the Executive Director of the Jewish Community Foundation Josh Stein  in thinking through the meaning of "legacy" and for practical instruction in the tools by which we can ensure a future of value for the world that we leave behind. A reception will follow the presentations.

  • Dr. Bradford Cokelet, "Passing on What You Have Learned to Value." This talk will consider the kind of wisdom that is uniquely available in the last chapter of life and how "passing that on" can inform thinking about legacy and wills.
  • Joshua Stein, "Philanthropic Tools and Legacy-Giving"

For those who do not live in Lawrence, please join our Zoom room @
