MissionTo accomplish our vision, the Equity Team strategically examines individual experiences, data, policies and practices to actively identify bias, inequity, and discrimination at Yorktown in current and historical contexts. Once identified, we advocate for institutional, curricular and instructional changes, and engage in anti-bias and anti-racist practices to ensure each member of our school community feels valued, respected, and empowered.
The Equity Team includes students, staff, and family members that represent the diversity of the school.
The team will meet on the first Tuesday of each month from 3:30pm - 4:30pm.
Our first meeting will be October 1, 2024, with subsequent meeting dates as follows:
