THIS JUST IN: The Zona Rosa Arts Fair and Vintage Market is having a special event intended just for high school students in the North Kansas City School District! The Zona Rosa Poetry Wham is a poetry slam event in which students can enter and participate in. The event will be on Saturday, September 17th, 2016 from 3 to 5pm. There will be 20 chosen contestants presenting their poems to an audience in the Zona Rosa Town Square. Contestants will have a chance to win prizes, and the top three contestants will win Zona Rosa gift cards.
Specifications
1. Make a video of yourself presenting your poem on YouTube. **The video can be up to 2 minutes. Also, you can set the video as "unlisted" so others can't view your video.

2. Insert your video's link in the question stating "Copy and Paste your Youtube poetry performance link down below".  

3. ***Please submit your entry by MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH, 2016!!!

4. If you qualify as a possible contestant, then we will email you back in a few days giving you more details of the event.
Guidelines
 Your poem must be represented in a positive manner, as this is a family event. The poetry WHAM is all about a positive theme for children that may be in the audience. Your poem can be humorous, exciting, and light-hearted. Make your poem original. DO NOT plagiarize from any other writer. We DO NOT want poems to be angry, of sadness, or evoke hatred.  No foul language or sexual/drug references. Please keep it PG and appropriate for families. Thank you!
