Chinese New Year Spectacular

Divine Performing Arts Chinese New Year Spectacular
Presented by New Tang Dynasty TV-SF

Inspired by the rich spirit of an ancient culture, Divine Performing Arts has been described as a "Renaissance" of classical arts and culture, bringing to life classical Chinese dance and music in a gloriously colorful and exhilarating show. Masterful choreography and graceful routines range from grand classical processions to ethnic and folk dances, with gorgeously costumed dancers moving in stunning synchronized patterns. The rich repertory is drawn from the pages of history, presenting universal themes with contemporary relevance. State-of-the-art backdrops conjure celestial palaces and pastoral vistas, while groundbreaking music combines the best of Chinese and Western composition. Take inspiration from ancient heroic legends and modern tales of courage. Nearly twenty dances and musical performances make an evening of Divine Performing Arts an unforgettably rich experience. A 50-member live orchestra enlivens performances with all-original musical compositions. A one-of-a-kind, uplifting performance!

Alexander Sung Piano Recital

Green Room - San Francisco
Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 8:00 PM

Alexander Sung, an accomplished concert pianist, is coming back to San Francisco due to popular demand. He will also perform with well known Bay Area cellist Burke Schuchmann.

Mr. Sung and Mr. Schuchmann will perform an all Beethoven concert. Their performance will demonstrate how Beethoven bridged the Classical and Romantic eras and will show why he is one of the giants in classical music.

Most importantly, it will be a concert filled with many of the emotions that Beethoven conveyed to his audience – love, sadness, bitterness, and triumph.
