The Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship was created by Albert and Mitiz Merriweather and is carried on by their children: Kayla, Kelsea, Karen and AJ– former graduates of South Side High School. South Side High School has played an integral part in the education of these alumni, and greatly enhanced their ability to receive college degrees at four-year institutions. As a way of giving back to South Side High School, this annual scholarship is being presented to assist a student in his or her pursuit of a college degree.

Who may apply? Any South Side High School senior pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree.

How to Apply
Submit a typed double-spaced essay of at least 500Â words (but not more than 600 words) on the challenges facing youth and how you intend to use your education and/or career to become an effective leader of tomorrow, despite these challenges. Additionally, upload your college letter of acceptance.
