OFFICE MANAGER WANTED
New Mexico Parent Teacher Association (NMPTA) is hiring a part-time (~20
hours/week) Office Manager for our office located in Albuquerque, NM. There is some
flexibility in the schedule, with expectations of availability Monday–Friday for 4–5
hours within normal business hours (9 am–5 pm). The successful candidate will start
immediately and must become a member of Land of Enchantment PTA. Applications
will be accepted until the position is filled. Availability to start by April 14, 2025 is
strongly desired.
Type of Job: Part-time, year-round, with some flexibility
Hourly Wage: Non-exempt, minimum $14/hour commensurate with experience
Primary Responsibilities:
● Assist with the day-to-day operations of NMPTA
● Assist the Board of Directors with administrative matters, financial record-keeping,
membership matters, and other program logistics
● Communicate frequently with the Board of Directors and local PTAs
● Handle general communications such as phone calls, emails, mail and packages, and
online inquiries
Additional Responsibilities:
● Print/assemble materials for workshops, training, and marketing
● Manage logistics for quarterly Board meetings
● Manage logistics for NMPTA’s Annual Convention
● Other office management tasks as necessary
Required Skills and Education:
● High school graduate or equivalent
● Experience with the Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Calendar, Forms, and
GMail)
● Must pass an Albuquerque Public Schools background check

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
● Experience in the nonprofit sector, including understanding the function of a Board of
Directors and a respect for volunteerism
● Knowledge and understanding of the PTA mission and values
● Experience with event planning
● Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher) and Adobe Acrobat
