The family of Taelor Ray Valencia

On Sunday July 10th, a catastrophic loss was felt throughout our Skokomish & Squaxin Communities. Our Creator made the decision to take his angel Taelor Rae Valencia to be with him in eternal peace and happiness. Taelor was just the tender age of 6 and the youngest daughter of Akasha Garner and Julioto Valencia.

Akasha and her 3 children were only miles from home when a split second event changed their lives in the most painful way forever. Another car collided with their's, Akasha and her babies were hurt very badly. Our dear sweet, spunky spitfire Taelor Rae unfortunately could not survive the severity of her injuries. Her brother, Jordan Tinaza, 12, and her sister Kaylynn Tinaza, 14, were both rushed to Harborview medical center to undergo surgeries for serious injuries. Their mom was hospitalized in Shelton with crush injuries to both of her feet. She left as soon as she could get out of there to go be in Seattle next to their bedside. Understandably, Akasha is in a state of shock and loss. Like a warrior, she stays vigil next to her surviving babies with everything she has left. They will need every ounce of healing and prayer we can send them now. Please pray Tae a safe and good journey as she goes home to be in the caring arms of her loved ones gone before her.

As a community I hope we can all come together to help support Akasha and hers in a time she will need it more than ever.

Akasha has given me permission to put this GoFundMe together in the name of her beloved baby Tae and her two older children fighting to heal themselves.

They will be facing countless expenses in the many days ahead. The last thing we want Akasha worried about is how to pay for staying at the hospital indefinitely, covering gas, meal expenses, hotels, and cost of bills while she is unable to work. Plus the many other unforseen cost.

Akasha is doing the best she can to start planning. They will be trying to give their baby girl the send home she deserves, and we want to make sure we do all we can to make that happen for her.

At this time Akasha is thankful for everyone's endless support they have expressed. We thank each person for considering donating, even if you can't give, we thank you for all your prayers and kindness.

I have seen our 2 communities come together in these times, in a way that only Skokomish and Squaxin can. I have seen us hold eachother up through unspeakable tragedy, I have seen us pour our love and tears out like a thick and strong medicine...let us blanket eachother in that today, tonight, tomorrow, the next and the next after that-for as long as it takes. Hold your loved once as tight as possible, because we all know it can slip away from us in a split second.
