This short talk is not an exposition of the Lord’s prayer in Matthew (6: 9 - 13) or Luke. (11: 2 - 4), and although this prayer by Jesus is the model, we will talk about how we can pray using our own words. This kind of prayer is called extempore, and even if other people are present, it is often personal in nature. For those who do not know how to pray, the Lord’s prayer can be made personal by using, an I and a me instead of we. For example, “Forgive me my trespasses and deliver me from evil.”........ ...more
