The Blackout Workshop Proposal

The Boys of Color Conference, held on April 6, 2024, at the Agricenter, is a collaborative effort between The Gentlemen's League and the Kudzukian Media Group. Our purpose is to empower and uplift 200-250 boys of color in Greater Memphis. Under the theme "The Journey Forward," our mission is to provide attendees with knowledge, inspire them with role models, offer career and education opportunities, develop leadership skills, promote community engagement, and integrate meditation practices for holistic personal development.

Educators and Community Members can submit a proposal to lead an interactive workshop for Boys of Color. Workshops must fall into one of our Focus areas: Personal Growth and Leadership, Career Exploration and Skills Development, Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship, Mental Health and Well-being, and Community Engagement and Social Impact. All Sessions must be interactive and comprise of activities that pushes the boundaries of learning for participants.

Sessions will be 50-55 min. 

Selected presenters will be awarded an honorarium.

Additional topics - social media interactions, conflict resolution, respectful social interaction.
