MEET THE TEAM
Dr Johnny Downs
Johnny is an NIHR Clinician Scientist at King’s College London
Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Child and
Adolescent lead, Centre for Translational Informatics. His research
focuses on the use of digital information for epidemiological
studies examining risks factors and outcomes for childhood
neurodevelopmental and mental health disorders. Johnny's
interests lie within four main areas – patient portals to enhance
patient reported outcomes, natural language processing to refine
the data extracted from free-text electronic records, data-linkage to
integrate non-health data into clinical record analysis, and the
integration of remote monitoring technology into clinical care.

Lauren Cross
Lauren Cross is a former qualified teacher and Head of Psychology,
with a keen interest in mental health in schools. After gaining her
PGCE (Institute of Education, UCL) she taught for four years in
London and the East of England before completing a Masters in
Educational Research (University of Cambridge). Lauren is currently
working as a research assistant at the Department of Psychiatry
(University of Cambridge) on the RESHAPE project to explore the
impact of Covid-19 on children and young people’s mental health.
