Just ordered another supply, and my price a ton higher than last lot (30% more) as they come direct from USA, and so rate for orders going forward increases - not anything like 30%, but I need to make something!

I'm going to put a massive plug in for these books I got recently from Glen.

I just checked the results from about 20 stamps that needed a good bath.

The stamps came out a lot better and flatter, than they went in.

And as a bonus one or two folds have gone too.

These have proven very popular, and the huge German "LIGHTHOUSE" company now makes a near identical A4 outer size Deluxe Drying Book, with the same plastic spiral binding. Price is around the same, and stock code the same, but with "L" at end i.e. 482FYL - as I sometimes am out of 'Desert Magic' and will interchange where warranted at NO extra cost to you.

This is not the low end, and far cheaper standard Lighthouse book, that has been about for decades, but a new version German made Superior heavy grade version of the Drying Book, a step above the 'Desert Magic'. EVERY one of the 10 double sided pages (20 drying pages) has a thick flat Mylar sheet so you can be sure gum from peel and sticks does NOT stick to it. And these have 40% more pages, for the same price!

I really FAR prefer the "LIGHTHOUSE" now I see them side by side, as they have a sheet of specially formulated really thick rigid flat plastic, facing each of the sheets of the 20 x thick sides of A4 size cardboard blotter pages, so will last FAR longer in my estimation. 40% MORE pages for same price!

COVID RATES ADJUSTMENT: The current Corona Viris panic, and stockmarket and currency market chaos, has seen the Australian Dollar gyrate wildly this year. Many foreign post offices like Germany and Holland have added a several Euro COVID surcharge on parcels. DHL and FEDEX rates have doubled or trebled as zero commercial flights taking place, to carry PO cargo cost effectively.

My landed cost of anything imported has SOARED since, of course. Unit price plus shipping prices from overseas which have also soaked. All lots on this page, being fully imported, will be invoiced at 10% higher than AUD prices shown from today's date. With supplier hikes as well, I still am making WAY less than I was in January, at that level. When exchange rates settle somewhat, I’ll type in the firm prices. We live in scary times. LUCKILY, Stamps is a solitary INDOOR hobby basically, and we are thus the LEAST likely to catch COVIT-19

Prices may rise again, and will be advised here if they do, depending on future dollar moves, and supplier initial costs. For Australians, I'd suggest you order NOW if you need to buy ANYTHING imported - as they WILL certainly get much more expensive, due to the weak $A.

Just got in another carton of Lighthouse from Germany - they are selling like mad now the cold Winter weather is here in Australia and everyone is locked down with COVID! .

The new covers are solid BLACK with the usual Lighthouse gold metallic corner logo and the vertical gold stripes at left. Classier looking than the older Dark Blue ones. Inside content is identical. All factory shrink-wrapped. (Remember to hint to family - Father's Day here is only a month away!)

Just received another order of 100 Lighthouse books from Germany - took SIXTEEN weeks to arrive. Damn Covid.

First order in for the Desert Magic books gets the very last ones - I will not be re-stocking those.
