The City of Farmington Hills Cultural Arts Division invites regional artists to submit work for consideration for exhibit as part of the biennial Public Art Program, hosted at The Hawk Community Center and Farmington Hills City Hall.
This combined application is for both buildings in order to accommodate artists who may want to be considered for both locations.
These beautiful facilities offer display opportunities to showcase many diverse types of art, which will be seen and enjoyed by citizens, visitors, and staff. During the two-year duration of the program, there are also rotating exhibits and onsite events which will coincide with the exhibit, providing more exposure with local art collectors and businesses.
Artwork of all media is encouraged, including: painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, fiber art, digital art, ceramics, glass, indoor & outdoor sculpture, and more! This opportunity is open to all regional artists; applicants do not have to be a resident of Farmington Hills.
If the item is sold during the exhibit period, the artist will retain 100% of the sale, but must keep the artwork up until the end of the exhibit's 2-year time period.
Artists may submit up to 5 pieces of artwork that they would like to commit to the program. Only 1 image is required for submission. All artwork must be of professional quality and if chosen, must be display ready.
** If you are having trouble uploading images to the application, there are several free websites that can resize your pictures. Look up: free image reduction or resizing.
