My name is Frank Harkness a 67 year old Forces Veteran who has supported The Veterans Charity for several years through sponsored events.

Starting Sunday 7 April 2024, I am challenging myself to walk 4000kms (2485mls) hopefully completing in 30 weeks on behalf of The Veterans Charity.

I am virtual walking the Pacific Crest Trail route from the border between United States and Mexico near Rancho Arguilez and The Manning Visitors Centre on Grouse Road Canada travelling through the Cascades and Sierra Navada Mountain ranges.

I am looking to raise £4000 for the Charity by asking 2000 people to donate £2 each.

The Veterans Charity was founded in March 2008 to support UK Veterans of all generations.

They provide rapid support to Veterans facing hardship and distress supplying essentials like food shopping, clothing, household items like kitchenware and single appliances, utilities support and even smartphones/tablets to aid vital communication.

Despite being a small, mostly self-funded charity, operating on a very small budget, since 2011, they have provided support to more than 4500 Veterans and their families.
