Thank you very much for your interests in the Asia Pacific Young Leaders Assembly 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand.
All applications MUST be submitted online.
Eligibility
The APYLA will select participants by ensuring the relative quality of educational levels as well as the geographical diversity through the following criteria:
- · Educational level and the area of study
- Command in English. (Participant doesn’t need to be a native English speaker. The program is conducted in English.
- If you are older than 35, please consider attending as an observer.
- Quality essay writing or recommendation from a relevant institution.
Acceptance process
The organizing team will process the applications on a weekly basis. Accepted applicants will receive notification by email or call.
In order to secure your place for the program, we need you to make a non-refundable deposit of USD200. The deposit will be deducted from the program fee once you are ready to make your final payment.
Program Fee: USD 1200
The program fee will include:
- 5 nights accommodation
- All meals upon the program start until the end.
- All local transport throughout the program
- All field trips, visits, training, panel discussion and workshop materials
- All receptions and networking opportunity
- Certificate of achievement
Please do not make any payment until you receive the official Acceptance Letter from us. It is strongly recommended, that all of the necessary visa approval and travel arrangement be made before the program fee is paid.

Early Bird Payment
This offer to all the accepted applicants who can make their program fee BEFORE 31st August 2019 in order to get the early bird fee of USD799.

General essay topic:
Your essay should be at least 300, and no more than 500 words long based on your personal opinions, knowledge, and experiences rather than acquired sources. (If a professor nominates you, or by any university, organization or a company, you will not have to provide us with an essay. You can find the nomination form here:
Please choose one topic out of the following:
Topic 1: What defines a great leader? What are the most important values you demonstrate as a young leader? What are the skills that you feel need to develop further?
Topic 2: What are your views about the rising of the global unemployment rate and what action steps would you take to prevent it happen on you or other?
Topic 3: All United Nations Member States adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in 2015 in which consists of 17 sustainable development goals and 169 targets. Which of these goals is/are most critical in your community/country and why? What is/are the roles you should play as a young leader in order to tackle these issues?
