Great scale with no subscription, apps, or hassle. It measures and tracks the basics such as body fat, muscle percentage, weight, and visceral fat, but that’s all I wanted. Is it accurate? Don’t know for sure as I haven’t had a Dexa, but it seems to check out based on body fat photos and allows me to measure progress based on previous measurements.

Recommended Dosage
For optimum accuracy, use your body composition monitor right after you wake up and at least 2 hours after each meal.
Avoid taking measurements after exercising, drinking a large amount of water, or bathing. These may significantly alter your body composition readings.

Body Weight

Body Fat Percentage

Body Mass Index(BDI)
This indicator is calculated from your height and weight and is a measure of overall body fat. The higher the BMI, the greater the chance for possible health risks.
Skeletal Muscle
Skeletal muscle burns 22% of all calories, so it’s important to build and maintain. It’s also beneficial to your diet and exercise routine, helping to prevent rebound weight gain and avoid injury.
Visceral Fat
Visceral fat surrounds the vital organs in the abdomen. Since it cannot be seen from the outside, it often goes undetected. Excessive visceral fat may lead to high cholesterol, heart disease and type-2 diabetes.
Resting Metabolism
Regardless of activity level, a minimum level of caloric intake is required to sustain your body’s everyday functions. Knowing your resting metabolism helps you plan your diet according to your weight loss or maintenance needs.
Body Age
This indicator is calculated using your weight, body fat percentage and skeletal muscle percentage. The resulting number reflects your body age in relation to your calendar age. You want to keep it lower if possible.

1. First thing I noticed right off the bat is that the numbers reported on the scale were almost identical to the ones they calculated at the doctors office.
2. The instructions are clear and both my wife and I filled in our info as it keeps a 90 day memory of your previous numbers. I haven't had the need to go into the history but what's neat is that it give you a snapshot of, for example, your highest weight when it reports your number. It's motivating.
3. Process of taking measurements (step on scale, hold monitor at low angle, etc) took a couple of days to get down but it's second nature now. Our process is to go take our measurements first thing when we wake up before taking in any fluids. That way you get a consistent picture of your progress.
I have lost 18 pounds in two months by doing one hour of exercise each morning coupled with my Apple Watch. The reason why the Omron is 100% better than a regular scale is that I have noticed they were days where I didn't exercise but lost weight, however, my Body Fat Percentage went up. So this is motivating me to keep going. And it really is baby steps. Your numbers don't drastically change day to day but will go down a couple of data points three days in a row, go up one day, down two days, and so on.
Honestly this has been one of my best purchases in a while.
