National Educators United (NEU) created committees to help educators organize for the following purposes:

1. Safe Return to Work: develop a list of conditions for safe return to work and ways for educators to pledge they won’t return unless these conditions are met
2. Austerity Fight Back: connect educators in different states to resources for resisting budget cuts and privatization, and fighting for a federal bailout
3. Building Statewide Groups: share organizing practices from multiple statewide groups, hold workshops, provide support as needed
4. Equitable Distance Learning: discuss and organize around issue relating to distance learning, including grading, access, social-emotional learning, and counseling
5. Racial Equity: build the Black Lives Matter at School movement and organize for schools where educators and students are safe from all forms of oppression
