The NJ Civic Community Recovery Committee (NJCCRC) is a group of dedicated New Jersey library leaders whose mission is to work with stakeholders to create a new civic infrastructure that responds to the crisis with community-driven solutions. To accomplish this, NJCCRC will create templates for programs, tool-kits, and trainings for individual libraries and stakeholders to adapt and implement across the state.

Time and again, studies find that libraries are one of the most trusted institutions in our communities. Libraries already play a key role in many social and workforce development programs and are uniquely positioned to offer even more vital services during the upcoming years as our state recovers and adapts to a new normal. These innovative new services could range from trainings on how both employees and employers can adapt to online hiring to tool-kits to help mom-and-pop businesses create a digital presence to informational roundtable programs helping individuals understand resources available across the state.

In order to best leverage libraries' unique resources, NJCCRC must focus on what residents need most. We want to hear directly from residents about the needs you are experiencing because of the coronavirus pandemic.
