About this event

Bama Hillel and the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will host a special program to celebrate the lives of those lost during the Holocaust. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from second-generation Holocaust survivor Esther Levy. She will share the detailed life experiences of her mother Tobi Kamornik Gerson. Esther Levy will also focus on the importance of learning history, while learning from history, in strategies that promote allyship. Remembering the Holocaust will be at the University of Alabama Student Center Theater. Monday, April 10, 2023, at 6 pm and will continue from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm in the Intercultural Diversity Center, where an exhibit highlighting the important impacts of the Holocaust will be showcased and light refreshments will be provided.
