Join Us on a tour of the ICON Additive Home Manufacturing facility in south Austin at 220 E. St. Elmo Road, on Friday Jan 24, 2025, from 2 to 4 pm. where you'll get an exclusive look at cutting-edge home manufacturing technology. Discover how ICON is revolutionizing the way homes are built using additive manufacturing. ICON is one of the first companies in the world to construct buildings using a large-scale, additive, concrete composite. Check out the links below to learn more about several of their current projects, which includes a demonstration project to print living space on other planets, the world's first 3D printed hotel in Marfa, and a new project to print homes for the chronically homeless, in the east Austin development called Community First. Truly amazing.

This tour is for SAMPE Members (professional and student) so please do not forward to people who are not SAMPE members or somehow related. Sign up here on EventBrite; there is no charge, but we need to provide the information to ICON and also, to limit the number of attendees to 25. There are no restrictions on nationality, so everyone can attend. Be sure to wear closed toe shoes, that you don't mind getting dirty, and long pants. No shorts please. ICON will provide any eye or ear protection, if needed. Free parking is available on site, but best to carpool if possible. SAMPE Members are given priority access.
