Spring Into Caregiving Series
The Alzheimer's Association Western NC is partnering with Peak Resources Alamance to bring a three-part  educational series about dementia to the community. The programs are free to the public and will be held on the fourth Wednesday of each month February through April from 12pm - 1pm at Peak Resources Alamance, 215 College Street, Graham, NC 27253. Please feel free to bring your lunch and enjoy during the presentation.

February 22, 2023 | Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia
  • Learn about the impact of Alzheimer's, the difference between Alzheimer's and dementia, disease stages and risk factors and Alzheimer's Association resources. 
March 22, 2023 | Effective Communication Strategies
  • Explore how communication changes when someone is living with Alzheimer's learn how to interpret the verbal and behavioral communication and identify strategies to help you communicate and connect at each stage of the disease. 
April 26, 2023 | Understanding & Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors
  • Learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common triggers and learn strategies to help manage some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer's disease.
