A believer’s complete guide to surviving the Great Tribulation!
Most Christians have believed MANY LIES, according to the Bible, ANY ONE of which WILL RESULT in the loss of that person’s salvation, according to the Bible. This book is the result of our 10-year independent (NON-denominational) study of the most popular lies, and what the Bible actually says about them. One of the most dangerous among these is the belief in a “Pre- or Mid-Tribulation” Rapture of the Church.
What IS “The Rapture of the Church”? . . .
The apostle Paul defined it best in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17:
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
The verb translated here as “caught up” is the Greek word ἁρπάζω/arpazo, which modern Christian authors have translated as “rapture”, a reference to the manner in which a bird of prey, a raptor, snatches its meal from the ground. The end-times “rapture of the church” is a generally-accepted teaching throughout most of Christianity.
The divisions of opinion on the subject of the Rapture of the Church mostly center around the timing of it, with some teaching that it has already happened (preterists – Roman Catholics, etc.); or, will at the beginning of it (a “Pre-Trib” Rapture – a relatively recent invention associated with Dispensationalism); or, at the middle of the Tribulation (a “Mid-Trib” Rapture); or, that it will happen at the end of the Tribulation (a “Post-Trib” Rapture – what the entire evangelical Protestant church believed until about 1830).
Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins are pushing the Pre-Trib version, and to that end are the authors of the “Left Behind” series of end-times “Religious Fictions” (Barnes & Noble’s classification). According to them, if you miss this “Pre-Trib Rapture”, you will therefore be “left behind”, and their books describe in terrible detail what awaits all such faithless unfortunates. According to them, “the Church” (which they seem to define as “all good Christians”) will be unexpectedly whisked away from the earth by God to be with Jesus in heaven at the start of – or just before – the seven years of “the Tribulation”, despite the fact that there is not a single Bible verse which supports their teaching.
But even Hal Lindsey [“Late Great Planet Earth”], a major promoter of the Pre-Trib Rapture myth, grudgingly admits in his book “The Rapture” that the Pre-Trib teaching is “largely” based on arguments from inference and silence, and that he cannot point to any verse in the Bible which absolutely establishes a Pre-Trib rapture of the church. (pp 36-37).
And neither can anyone else. So why has it been so widely accepted by “mainstream” Christianity? Primarily, we would say, because it is an extremely attractive concept. The “only alternative” to believing in a “Pre-Trib Rapture”, as far as they know, is to believe that we are all going to have to actually go through the Tribulation, with all of its horrors as chillingly-described in the Bible. That would entail preparation of some kind (bother and expense), plus having to endure the ridicule and rejection that they would receive at the hands of all those who had elected to continue in their Pre-Trib “faith”. Better to stay with the herd. As they say, “there is safety in numbers”. Isn’t there?
Ummm . . . . no. Let’s see what our Lord Yeshua (his given name) has to say on the topic:
Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Do you see that our Lord here directly links his warning about going with the majority, with a warning about listening to false prophets (teachers)? This is as close as Yeshua could get to saying, “Concerning salvation, the majority is usually wrong!”
This “Pre-Trib Rapture” scenario is obviously designed to try to scare the gullible into “accepting Christ” now, so they won’t be “left behind” then. This hideously misguided technique is actually just another rehash of the tired old Bible-thumpers’ “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” approach to “evangelism”, also known as “Turn or burn!” Unfortunately for this approach, no one can ever be saved by their fear of pain, death or hellfire. What is required by the God of the Bible is that we actually love Him and His Son, and obey ALL of their commandments. Our book, Exposing Satan’s ‘Left Behind’ [see testimonials below] demolishes every single aspect of the false Pre-Trib teaching, and presents the genuine Biblical alternatives.
Plainly put, for anyone who claims to be a “Christian” to produce such provably false “entertainments” and then pass them off as Bible facts to a biblically-ignorant public is actually leading people into apostasy, in that it describes a “faith” which is NOT the original faith of Yeshua of Nazareth. And it exactly this of which our Lord and all of his disciples warned us: beware of false teachers! So, is this part of “the Great Apostasy” prophesied by the Apostle Paul? (2 Thessalonians 2:3)
How could it NOT be?
This is not an accusation we make casually. But when the clear evidence of the fallacy of a “pre-Trib Rapture” is presented, one must choose: either to ignore the evidence presented, or to act on the truth. It is in fact a false gospel, exactly as the Apostle Paul explicitly cursed in Galatians 1:8-9:
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Our Lord said that “IFyou continue in my word [study and apply his teachings to our lives continually], THEN are you my disciples indeed; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” [John 8:32] The obvious inference is that if we do NOT “continue in his word” then we will instead be continuing in “the commandments of men”, we will NOT know the truth, and we will NOT be made free by it. If we choose to go on believing such comfortable lies, then we are slaves to that by our own choice instead, and we have no basis for complaint for whatever consequences may attend those choices. We are ALLpersonally and individually responsible.
1,800 years of Christian Stupidity . . .
In effect, those who preach or believe in a pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church are saying that ALL of Christianity was entirely and stupidly wrong about this crucially important issue for the first 1,800 years of Christian history. They believe that it is only since a 15-year-old Scottish girl named Margaret MacDonald had a “vision” of something like a pre-tribulation rapture of the church around 1830, that this gross stupidity on the part of all those hundreds of millions of spiritually dim-witted Christians has finally been corrected. A list of those who preach (and apparently believe) the above would include many of the most prominent evangelists in America, and – very likely – your pastor.
We pray that our book will help you to discover the Truth that our Father and His Son Yeshua both want you to have, and, having believed it, to act on it.
Shalom! (Peace!)

Unsolicited Letters from Readers of Exposing Satan’s “Left Behind”
“Just a belated thanks for your fantastic and extremely effective exposure of latter-day, groundless, and dangerous pre-trib rapturism! As you may know, I’ve already spent more than 30 years focusing on the bizarre history of pretrib. Some of my internet pieces include “LaHaye’s temperament”, “Revisers of Pretrib Rapture History”, and “Famous Rapture Watchers”. Oh, and “PreTrib Hypocrisy” also. I have as much disgust for that wacko view as you obviously have. You are one of the very best anti-pretrib writers on earth – and I enjoy every word you write! Needless to say, your great material should be in every bookstore! Lord bless and reward you much! Rapturously in Christ alone!
………Dave MacPherson”
“Thanks so much for your book against the Pre-Trib. No doubt you are absolutely right on this point. The great thing is that you have exposed the lie of pre-tribism which Dallas Theological Seminary and American evangelism seem fixated on. They are not reading Matthew 24 and 2 Thessalonians 1: 7-8. I know as you do how intransigent they are on that “invisible secret rapture”! …….. Anthony Buzzard
“I read your book ‘Exposing Satan’s Left Behind’ and thought it was superb and perfectly cohesive. I think it will turn many heads, touch many hearts and lead people into questioning what ultimately MUST be dragged kicking and screaming into the light of Biblical scrutiny! KUDOS! …….. Alton Raines
“Good Morning. In the name of our Lord Jesus. I am very excited over your stand for the truth in scriptures. We have been deceived. Thank you for your calling to get the word out to our misguided Church that has a closed mind as to the Rapture of the Church. We need to educate and enlighten with our Lord’s help as many as will receive the truth. Peace and truth will set you free.” …….. Ty Hardin
“You guys sent me a copy of your book many months ago and I am still reading it, but I wanted to let you know just how wonderful your book is. It is the truth and you guys did a fantastic job in lining up all the scripture for it also! I left you a wonderful review at amazon.com and I recommend you ask all your customers to leave a review on amazon.com. It is a very big site and people really trust the reviews people leave on there. Great job! Love you guys! Time is short!” …….. Sheila
“Thank you for writing THE book. I did not want it to end but it did and now it is my son’s turn. I hope that my request for your newsletter was accepted on your website. Thank you for all your help putting into words (yours and Yeshua’s) what I have believed for a long time but could not put into words. Bless you.” …….. Geri K.
“I still cannot get over thinking about your book and how much I have learned about the Bible from reading it.” …….. E. Boyd
“I don’t write or send many emails. No one to write to…so few people seem to genuinely care about true bible prophecy. I just want to say… there was so much in your book. It was a real pleasure to have something to “challenge” my understanding of Biblical prophecy and beliefs. It is not too often that reading material like this is presented – even on the internet. Makes you wonder – what is everybody thinking about regarding what is going on in the world, etc.” …….. M. Handels
“Essentially – I am forced to agree with your compelling arguments. Previous to your booklet I had never formed an opinion about the timing of the tribulation period of time, even though I have heard plenty regarding the so-called disappearances that would happen. The main reason I never really applied much thought to the pre-trib thesis is primarily because it has not been all that long ago that I came to accept Christ as (my) Savior. Plus, there had been plenty of other biblical questions that I found necessary to explore. I never buy words, nor encourage friends to purchase words regarding the Bible, and am not sure why I was willing to do so with yours….. But, I can say that your words did allow me to further explore many of my thought processes – for which I thank you.”
…….. J. Cummins
“Hello there.
I have read your e-book, and passed it on to two friends. I think it is a well crafted piece of work, and would like to send you a donation to your fund.” …….. P. Gorman
“Thanks so much for the book. I just finished it and it was very interesting. You really gave me some different views than I have held myself to in the past. I’m going to re-read Revelation (just because I think anybody should do that when they hear something new), but I think you’ve convinced me on a Post-Tribulation Rapture of the Church. I have really respected a lot of Pre-Tribulation preachers and can’t believe how they could have been deceived. It is amazing to me and I agree with you that it would be the biggest deception of all time. I was very fascinated about the “Two Witnesses” even more than the time of the Rapture. It’s definitely only for the sake of their argument that preachers would take one thing literally and then something else completely metaphorically. Not to mention picking different pieces from here and there and connecting them to support what they want to believe. I guess present day ministers just pass on what they’ve heard and don’t try to dig any deeper. To tell you the truth I’m starting to feel a little foolish myself for having gone on so long without questioning what I’ve been taught. Again, Thanks so much and if there’s every anything I can do to help just let me know.” …….. J. Sellers
“I loved the e-book and am in the process of reading it again. Thank you, it is clearing up a lot of disinformation for me. I just finished “The Hiram Key” and desperately need something to clear away the garbage it was proposing as truths! I think your book does that on all points. I have also read all the Left Behind series and I couldn’t grasp why these guys would put out such an easy reading story book until I discovered where their backing comes from. I can’t quote the chapter and verse like you can but I believe it goes something like “beware of false prophets”!” …….. B. Harris

Dear Reader:
These are but a representative few of the dozens of unsolicited testimonials we have received concerning the insights contained in our book about the end times Rapture of the Church, “Exposing Satan’s ‘Left Behind’”. If you are curious about end times Bible prophecy, but don’t know whom to believe or where to start, this is the book for you. With nothing more than a King James Bible and this book, you will know more about Bible prophecy than the majority of those who get paid to preach about it!
If you doubt this claim now, think about it the next time you listen to any preacher – after you read the book – when they start to talk about the end times! With rare exceptions, you will be newly amazed and newly disgusted at the Biblical wrongness (or whatever it is!) of each new preacher you hear. Every statement of ours is backed up with solid Bible references which you can easily check out for yourself.
More importantly, it can serve as the starting point for your own further studies. While we would not want to hear that anyone had simply accepted what we have written as “gospel”, we are also secure in the knowledge that what we have written is firmly fixed on the Rock of God’s Truth. While it is true that knowledge is power, it is also freedom – freedom from deception!
We have worked long and hard to make this THE BEST SINGLE BOOK on end-times prophecy that you can find. In addition to providing an effective antidote to the poisonous swill emanating from most denominational churches, it also covers a wide range of Bible topics that are absolutely taboo to most denominations, as you will discover. It also provides (on the included CD) timely and dependable advice on a wide range of extra-Biblical topics, from health (based on our 20+ years of alternative medicine studies) to investments (ex-stockbroker with E.F. Hutton & Co.) to preparations for the coming economic tsunami (university economics major) which we believe is now inescapable. We pray that you will avail yourself of the knowledge which we have amassed since 1985, and pass it on to others.
Not being members of (much less salaried preachers for!) any denomination, we have NO denominational “axes to grind”. Our belief is that ALL denominations represent error in one way or another, and ALL are elitist, divisive, man-made contrivances which were never intended by Christ. It is the denominations which seek to maximize their memberships by “protecting” the sheep from the more “unpleasant” truths in God’s Word. This book is one powerful antidote to such toxic denominational tendencies.
Our Lord Yeshua said: “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.” [Matthew 10:34] Swords divide, and the Word of God divides truth from error. We pray that you will pick up this sword, and wield it throughout your life, in his blessed service.
Yours in Messiah,
Bob & Suzanne Hamrick
