Who are WBF Ambassadors? Ambassadors are parents, teachers, youth leaders, and community members trained to support and/or lead organized youth (PK and up) education initiatives such as “Walk/ Bike to School Day”, In-school bike education, WBF Bike Safety Rodeos, and so much more!
Walking and biking safety education for our children starts as soon as they can walk! The WBF Ambassador Training will prepare you to advocate, support and/or lead programs and activities related to in-school walking and biking safety programs, Safe Routes to School plans and community activities in Cook County, in addition you will learn how to integrate and apply pedestrian/ bicycling safety and awareness throughout your day to day life.
*This free training is also HIGHLY recommended for your organization, camp, or group if you are interested in renting out the Cook County Safe Routes to School Bike Fleet.
We have TWO training opportunities! Please choose one of the options below to register. Though these trainings are free of charge pre-registration numbers will determine if the trainings will be held, so please sign up!
