*Making information palatable for everyone, people are at different levels of understanding and engagement.
*when beginning planning for activity groups a lot of people wanted more opportunities to be more fluent in the knowledge of the other action groups.. and most people seemed to want learn more about the intersectionality between their action group themes
*Breaks between high energy activities(including heavy brain lifting)
*starting off with more fun/interactive activities and then presenting information loaded activities to , a lot of people say this keeps them powered up throughout the meeting as opposed to being given a lot of tiring information and then trying to perk back up.

In this section highlighted in green are my suggestions of civics skills/goals to be touched upon in the first few months of the term. They are based off of the civics skills self assessment data, and the civic skills prioritization charts that was created after polling peer leaders and yvoters with civic skills matrix...
I ordered them based on highest priority, (with a blend of skills that both Yvoters and Peer leaders expressed wanting to gain) and tried to group them in a way that is relatively relatable to the other skills that can be focused on in the same day. This way the activities can blend into each other well.
I focused on Now-December to allow space for changes and flexibility in programming/deciding next steps that are appropriate with progress.
These are all suggestions :) so let me know what you think or if you have questions!

This may be a good day to reintroduce the power mapping activity. A lot of YVoters last year found discussions around power structures/power mapping to be the most interesting/important thing they’ve learned... they suggested lengthening this part a bit more to open up more space for discussion.

very cool--all the better if the speaker leads YVoters in something interactive and applied around this, at least in part
