APICS Tampa Bay invites all local supply chain, procurement, operations management, transportation and logistics professionals to our "Effective ERP & MRP" workshop on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Aerosonic Corporation, 1212 N. Hercules Avenue, Clearwater, FL 33760.  

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are considered a vital organizational tool because it integrates varied organizational systems and facilitates error-free transactions and production. Since its inception in 1957, Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) has been the go-to solution for manufacturing.  A set of techniques that use bill of material data, inventory data, and the master production schedule to calculate the requirements for materials, it makes recommendations to release replenishment orders for material. 

MRP is time-phased and makes recommendations to reschedule open orders when due dates and need dates are not in phase.  This workshop is an APICS Principles-based course, with content focused on:   

• Stock replenishment 
• Independent and dependent demand
• Time-phasing concepts
• Defining and mapping flow
• Bills of material, lead-time offsetting, and exploding

This comprehensive MRP workshop will teach you the effective use of planning grids, planning processes, performance policies and methods, and performance measurements. Learn how to to get the most out of your inventory control, MRP or ERP system.
