I bought this book because an illustrator (grayscaled) whom I had hired to draw for me had shown me some bad reviews she had gotten for a story she had written and drawn for it, so i wanted to see for myself. If nothing else, the book will give the careful reader some insight into what Yuri is and what it isn't, the distinction some people make between lesbians and yuri, the different stylized uses of manga versus the more "realistic" illustrations that are used throughout the anthology. When all is said and done, the book offers a way out for some who would otherwise see no way out during a difficult time in their lives.

This, the sixth volume of the "series", represents the best of them so far. It offers a wide variety of story and art types, and is a very pleasant read.

I'm always a fan of Yuri manga (lesbian story-line and characters), and this is my first, and probably last, purchase from the Yuri Monogatari series. There's a wide range of lovely to awful in this book. Some of the stories are poorly drawn, difficult to follow, and just poorly written. Others are gorgeous works of art. It's hard to believe that they're all published in the same book. The one or two gems in the book weren't worth the painful journey through the bad ones. Just my opinion of course.

I have in my possession the lovely graphic novel, Yuri Monogatari Vol. 6 and have to commend all the contributors, including JD Glass, for a job very well done. The artwork, the content and clear message make this a collector's edition. Exceptional! Don't miss owning this one. JD offers a side story to her famous Bold Strokes Books novel, American Goth. What a fine pictorial event sure to please. The art alone makes the cover price a steal. Artists,Hayes, Friedman, Knowles, Tani, Kristina, UKO, Grass, Bieganska, Glass, Donovan, Takashima, Ingro/SirKrozz, Keaton, KOZ, Jessie B, Kudo, Greyscaled and Tadeno are truly talented. The pictures will seduce you and the story will keep your attention. Check it out! Collect them All! [...]

The latest not to be missed edition of the only ongoing English Yuri anthology. Follow Miho-chan through her adorable and somewhat painful childhood in Rica Takashima's fantastic new work. Gawk at the utter fun insanity of Cause x Play and (Un)Invited Guests. Tear up with the bittersweet Simple and Do You Speak Love? Plus, enjoy some awesome new art by Susan Knowles, Mike Hayes and Sirk Tani.
