Thank you for your interest in vending for the 2025 Black Heritage Juneteenth Festival in Worcester, MA! We look forward to having you join us!
This year's festival will be held at Institute Park (100 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609) on Saturday, June 21st, 2025 from 12 pm to 8 pm. If you are interested in vending, please note the following:
GENERAL VENDOR INFORMATION:
- All vendor requests and payments must be made by MONDAY JUNE 9th to be considered. Vendors looking to submit an application after the abovementioned date will incur a $50 late application fee. Vendor applications will not be considered complete or confirmed until payment is accepted.
- We can only accept payment of vendor fees via cash, check, or money order made payable to WORCESTER COMMON GROUND/BHC. Please drop off or mail payment to the follow address (payments can be left in the secure outdoor mailbox if the building is closed):

Worcester, MA 01610 - We will not provide vendors with tents. If you choose to bring your own tent, please note that the City of Worcester Parks Department PROHIBITS THE USE OF STAKES IN THE GROUND. 4 SANDBAGS OR OTHER WEIGHTS ARE REQUIRED for all tents.
- Please note that this is the first year that the Black Heritage Committee WILL NOT BE PROVIDING VENDORS WITH TABLES AND CHAIRS. All vendors are responsible for bringing their own tables and chairs and keeping their items within the designated spaces as described below.
- Please note that Black Heritage Committee Members may come by to be sure that you are staying within your designated space and your tents are in compliance with our guidelines to ensure everyone's safety!
- You are expected to leave your vending area and the park grounds in the same state that you found it. Any trash/damage to the area could result in additional fees/being barred from participating in future Juneteenth Festivals.
- The Black Heritage Committee is committed to ensuring our festival remains a safe and affirming space for everyone - especially racially and other minoritized community members. All vendors are expected to do the same
- The Black Heritage Committee is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items. Vendors are encouraged to get day insurance if necessary.
FOOD VENDORS:
- The fee for anyone selling food at our festival is $250. This includes the $190 Festival Fee and the $60 Temporary Food Permit Fee (please pay the $190 vending fee to the Black Heritage Committee as described above, and the $60 temporary food permit fee to the City of Worcester directly - we will not facilitate making your payment to the city's Inspectional Services division for you). Even if you already have a permit for the location of your restaurant/business, the City of Worcester's Department of Public Health still requires this permit to participate in our festival (with the exception of permitted food trucks).
- Know that your application is not considered complete without 1) this vendor application submitted, 2) your temporary permit application, and 3) cash, a check, or a money order for payment. Temporary Food Permit application can only be submitted online and found here:

- The $250 fee covers a 12' x 24' space which will be measured out for vendors upon arrival. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING YOUR OWN TABLES AND CHAIRS.
- You are expected to leave your vending area and the park grounds in the same state that you found it. Any charcoals, grease, or other food waste should be carried off the premises and disposed of off of park grounds. Leaving the area trashed/damaged could result in additional fees/being barred from participating in future Juneteenth Festivals.
NON-FOOD VENDORS:
- You are expected to leave your vending area and the park grounds in the same state that you found it. - Please note that the vending fee for non-food vendors (vendor, agency, and artisan) covers a 12' x 12' space
which will be measured out for vendors upon arrival. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING YOUR OWN TABLES AND CHAIRS.
