BOLD IDEAS!: "A Conversation with Collin Zinn - Thurs, July 29, 2021 @ 5:30-7:00pm EDT

CALUMET AND STONG COLLEGES invite you to attend BOLD IDEAS!:

Bold Ideas serves as a platform for citizens, activists and leaders to share their personal, career and life experiences and challenges with the community, and how they negotiated their life paths around these challenges. Non-conformists are welcome.

We believe in the power of ideas, actions and experiences. We believe that humans are catalysts for a better world. We believe each experience is unique and can elevate the consciousness of others.

Bold Ideas is where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. It is where extraordinary people share extraordinary ideas that challenge our perspectives of what is possible, what is not possible and what is certain.

Please join us at our upcoming Bold Ideas session:

Session Title: "The Ripple Effect in Inclusive Leadership"

Presenter: Collin Zinn

Session Summary: I like to describe a ripple effect as a disturbance in the status quo. As we challenge our own thoughts, feelings and belief system we start to challenge those around us. The work of inclusive leaders like yourselves is the reason we have made so many great changes in our society. It’s how the feminist movement began and spread, how the gay rights movement became mainstream, and how the civil rights movement changed the world. But there is always more work to be done. In this talk, Collin will discuss a few important topics surrounding what it means to be an inclusive leader through the lens of queerness. We will discuss queer history in Toronto, creating a safer space, activism and why your allyship can be that ripple effect.

Date/Time: Thursday, July 29th @ 5:30pm - 7:00pm
Zoom Meeting ID: 950 5770 8027
