This year Kingston will see the introduction of conservation grazing for the first time in recent memory. This is part of grasslands enhancement project to increase the biodiversity and wildflower value of the meadows at Tolworth Court Farm Moated Manor.

We are looking to recruit volunteers to sign up to support the daily monitoring of cows, which will entail a short visit (approx 30 min) to the site to ensure the cows are in good condition over the grazing period.

We will be running a cow checker training session on the 6th of October. Cow Checkers will then be asked to check the site on a daily basis, however we hope to spread this over a large volunteer pool. Which will be mean that you may only need to check the site once or twice over the grazing period.

The grazing period will last approximately 2 weeks from the 7th of October.
