Dear Premier

We, the people of South Australia, have had enough of crippling, high power prices.

As has been shown in a series of reports on Channel 7’s Today Tonight, our state is paying some of the highest prices in not only the country, but also the world. Your Government has led us to a crisis where the most vulnerable members of our community can’t even afford to heat and cool their homes. Meanwhile, precious jobs are at risk as businesses threaten to pull up stumps and move interstate because SA power is no longer cost effective.

We appreciate that high power prices are a complex problem, but the time has come to give you a deadline for a solution. So, if the Weatherill Government hasn’t taken successful action to bring back affordable energy by 2018, signatories to this petition won't be voting Labor at that year’s state election. If you ignore our frustration, it will be at your electoral peril.
