There are millions who, because of personality conflicts, custody issues, distance, or consequences of choices made long ago, have no way to pass values and memories to those who mean the most to them. Born of one woman’s quest to become part of the lives of two grandchildren she has been kept from seeing, Invisible Grandparenting provides a blueprint for “virtual grandparenting.” Using letter writing as a primary tool, it is a handbook for communicating tangible and intangible gifts to our young ones. Discover how to transcend invisibility, heal separation, and transform negative energy to forgiveness.

Powerful and Heartwrenching!
I don’t have children or grandchildren, but this book touched me. I was moved by the powerful emotions that run deep in the heart and the pain and longing of Pat’s journey. A close friend of mine is an invisible grandparent and I know the hurt she has suffered over the years. Pat Hansen is a powerful writer and I found her personal experience and those of others she has written about moving and sorrowful. For those invisible grandparents who find themselves in this situation this book will help you to understand you are not alone. One very important lesson to come out of this is to never give up. Pat never gave up on having a relationship with her grandchildren and that message is powerful. Sharon Law Tucker Author, How to Be A BadAss

In my role as a wealth manager, I work with my clients about their Legacy to children, grandchildren, other heirs, and community. Pat's writing and work about Invisible Grandparenting is heartfelt and provides guidance on how all of us can Leave a Legacy to loved ones that are close to our hearts -- especially when we are not allowed to see or be with our loved ones.

For grandparents who have been abruptly or mysteriously limited or forbidden to see their grandkids, this book explains the painful journey from sorrow to doing what you can to heal and leaving the rest to God. Examples of therapeutic letters, some to be sent and others not, are given along with some stories from grandparents who were suddenly cut off. These are not people who were toxic to grandchildren but who suffered as fallout from things their kids were doing or going through with grandkids paying a price of separation from grandparents. Resources are listed in the back of the book.

Not what I was hoping for. Calling it "My journey with invisible Grandparenting....." would have been more acurate. Aside from telling you to write letters that you don't send it is just a story of one grandparents journey not a helpful guide for anyone going through this. Disaponting

This is a must read for Grandparents who want to be close to Grandkids but the parents of the kids are selfish and wont allow grandparents be a part of the kids life.

Even if we have experienced abuse by adult children which usually includes forbidding brain washed grandchildren from seeing us we can go in their lives on by writing to our victimized grandchildren.
