Wisconsin State Sen. Sheila Harsdorf outspent and outraised her District 10 challenger Shelly Moore through much of July, according to recent campaign finance reports.

Harsdorf, R-River Falls, spent about $151,000 from July 1 to July 25 – nearly twice Moore’s expenditures of about $77,000 during the same period. Harsdorf raised about $106,000 during the period and Moore raised about $95,000.

The recent filings show fundraising has increased for Harsdorf following a July 5 campaign finance filing and stayed nearly the same for Moore. Previously, Moore, a Democrat and teacher from River Falls, had been raising funds faster than Harsdorf.

In Monday’s filing, Harsdorf’s campaign reported having a cash balance about $97,000. Moore’s campaign reported having about $112,000.

The recall election, one of nine in Wisconsin Senate districts this summer, will be Aug. 9.
