Toronto Croquet Club at Lake Mac Croquet Centre has six full sized croquet greens, one of which doubles as a gateball court, and our very own clubhouse! We lease the centre from Lake Macquarie City Council. We have a very proactive committee members, groundsman, coaches and volunteers.
We hold regular Golf, Ricochet, Association and Gateball croquet as shown on our calendar. Our courts can be affected by rain. If they are closed then it will be shown in the ground status info above.

Glendale is 12km north of Toronto and only minutes from the M1. Coming from the Sydney direction, take the George Booth exit through Edgeworth. If coming from the northern direction on the M1 then you need to take the Newcastle Interchange ramp and travel down through Edgeworth. You then loop around via Frederick St as shown on the above diagram.
If travelling via train then get off at Cardiff and catch the No13 bus to Glendale. Get off at the bus stop adjacent the Car Park Exit at Bill Bower Oval and then take the path to the Lake Mac Croquet Centre. (Note: There are NO bus stops in Frederick St.)
Besides the activities on Lake Macquarie, we are not that far from beaches or a wide variety of Hunter Valley wineries with tasting venues and accommodation.
Do you want to try croquet? We start new people with the basics of using a mallet, hitting a ball, the different types of shots. We then move onto a game of Golf Croquet (it has nothing to do with golf btw).
When can I learn? Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 0830 to noon (In DST we start at 8am). Just come down and introduce yourself. We have around 12 qualified coaches so there are usually several there each day to get you started.
What do I need to bring? We have plenty of mallets for people to try. The only thing you need are enclosed flat soled shoes - eg joggers. A brimmed hat is also recommended.
What’s it cost to learn? Cost for learning is free. Most new starters are up to speed in 2-3 sessions and then join in the regular games with others. Regular games cost $10/day green fees for non-members.
What's the cost of Membership and Green Fees?
PLease refer to our Frequently Asked Questions Page where we detail not only costs but the borrowing of a mallet, uniforms and anything else you might want to know etc
