Notes

1. Choose a yarn and hook combination that gives you a nice drape. A firmer fabric will not be as easy to wrap. You may need to try more than one hook size before you find one that creates a fabric you’re happy with. If you’re unsure where to start, try a hook 2-3 sizes larger than what’s recommended on the yarn label.

2. Beginning ch 3 counts as a dc throughout.

Blocking isn’t required, but it will improve the look of your finished shawl. For natural fibers, use your preferred blocking method. For synthetics, like acrylic, you will need to steam block.
