The National Rural Network together with Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine will host a workshop on Climate Change and Adaptation for agricultural advisors, researchers, students, and anyone working within the agricultural sector with an interest in Climate Change.

The workshop will feature presentations from a host of experts in relation to Climate Change. Topics will include: An Overview of Adaptation and Planning Requirements, Climate Change Projections for Ireland and their impact on agriculture into the future, Sustainability discussion, discussion on how to incorporate adaptation and resilience into the next RDP.

Why Attend?

Climate Change is happening and is affecting the way we farm. Agriculture has a vital role to play in addressing climate change.

At this workshop participants will:

• Obtain an in depth Knowledge of Adaptation and Planning requirements

• Identify Opportunities, for Agricultural Advisors to help farmer to take tangible actions on their farms to address the challenge of climate change

• Network with your colleagues

• Discuss what opportunities exist within the next RDP to address Climate Change and incorporate adaptation.
